Stephen C. Brinkofski, Sr. of Union Twp., NJ passed away at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the age of 83.
The memorial visitation will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ on Tuesday, Sept. 27th from 11 AM – 12 PM followed by the funeral mass to begin at 12 PM.
Stephen was born and raised in Jersey City, the son of Louise (nee Ruge) and Theodore Brinkofski. He had resided in Laurence Harbor, NJ for over 20 years before moving to Millville, NJ for 10 years and the past 5 years in Union Twp., NJ.
Stephen was a journeyman and worked in the bindery department of Plymouth Printers in Cranford, NJ for many years before retiring in 2001.
An avid skier, he was a member of the Central Jersey Ski Club. Stephen traveled around the United States and France on many ski trips and enjoyed traveling to warmer climates on cruises.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Deborah Brinkofski (nee Kern); his loving children, Stephen C. Brinkofski, Jr., Michael Brinkofski, and Lynn Brinkofski Hayes and stepchildren, Robert Deckhut and his wife Kerry, and Tracy Deckhut Horvath and her husband Charles; his cherished grandchildren, Eric and Melissa Hayes, Hope and Hannah Brinkofski, and Keira and Eliana Deckhut; his dear sister Kathleen Hemmerly and her husband Robert, and sister-in-law Ann Brinkofski. Stephen was pre-deceased by his parents Theodore and Louise Brinkofski and his brother Theodore Brinkofski and sister Mary Brinkofski Cancro.
