Stephen Monroe Cain, born in Covington, KY on May 27, 1957, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2024, with family and friends at his bedside. He spent the last few weeks at Ohio State University Hospital. There, he was undergoing testing with hopes of being a recipient of a lung transplant. Steve is now at peace and breathing easy as he watches over us. Steve had a way of lighting up a room with his big smile, blue eyes, and of course, a COLD Miller Lite in hand. He touched so many people in so many ways - always helping others and guiding them, with never a negative thought or word. He never turned away from a challenge! The more difficult the challenge, the better. His passion in the vacuum business began while working side by side with his dad. He continued the 45-year legacy of All Vacuum Center until his retirement in 2020. Steve lived every day to the fullest! He enjoyed retirement, traveling, relaxing, being with family and friends, and eating nachos and dancing in the kitchen with his wife, Missy. Many friends, from all walks of life, have crossed the path of Steve Cain. Not only his lifelong friends from childhood, but also his customers, his Business Networking Family (BNI), and his horse riding/camping family. He often would say, "Friends are family." Steve is survived by his wife of 27 years, Missy Cain, sister Patricia (Tom) King and brother, James (Katherine) Cain. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Joanne (Solar) Cain and James Cain, and by his brother Michael Cain. Steve's whole purpose in life - mind, body, and soul - was to make his wife, Missy, happy and to ensure that they both had fun every day. In Steve's words, "Have fun everybody! If ya ain't havin fun, then WHAT'S THE POINT?!" THERE WILL BE A CELEBRATION OF LIFE MEMORIAL! Date, time, and location to be announced.

When he jumped off a diving board in fla into a styrofoam ring and got it stuck on his hips. His dad had to cut it off. Cousin rick. Nobody told me of his passing. Best wishes Missy.

Steve has taken a journey that we all must take someday. Our loved ones live on in our hearts and memories. And oh, what memories he left for so many.

Missy, I was always so happy for Steve that he found you with whom to share his life and dreams. And you two sure did have a good time! Your marriage serves as an example of how two people should love and take care of one another. I watched with joy and amusement at those videos and pictures on Facebook showing just how much fun and happiness you brought to each other´s lives and to friends and family. I have missed you both very much over the years. If I can be of help with anything, please feel free to contact me anytime and I´ll be there for you.

Although I don´t have any Miller Lite, I raise a bottle of Little Kings Cream Ale and toast to Steve, a good man.

We met Steve on the Lido deck of a cruise ship 28 years ago. After hours and hours of conversation that first night we continued to be inseparable for the entire week. We enjoyed each other so much we extended our flights to simply have a few more hours together. Of course we met Missy not too long after and fell in love with her as we did Steve - there were so many similarities in our lives that every time we came across another we laughed and laughed. Steve and Missy are family to us and we have continued to have a wonderful, loving friendship although we lived miles and miles apart. We are sending Missy tons and tons of love and support during this difficult time and know Steve is looking down on all of us smiling. Until we meet again Friend.....

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve and getting to know him during our many years with BNI. He was kind to everyone he met, there to help anyone, anytime. I take to heart my last conversation with Steve and I will be missing my friend in so many ways. My deepest sympathies to Missy and his family. Gregg
