Stephen Michael Clayton, 56 of Ashland passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in his home.
He was born on December 24, 1965 in Ashland, the son of John Clayton and Carol (nee Juhas) Clayton.
Stephen was employed at Walmart for many years.
He proudly served in the United States Navy for more than 10 years.
Stephen married Athena Schaefer on August 13, 2010.
Throughout his life, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1067 and enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing darts and watching the Cleveland Indians.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Athena Clayton of Ashland; one daughter, Erica Clayton; and his mother, Carol Clayton of Naples, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Clayton.
Friends may visit on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home. The Ashland Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct full military honors at 4:45 p.m.
Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
