Stephen Edmiston Obituary

Stephen Enoch Edmiston

Born: August 23, 1982 | Died: May 20, 2025

Stephen Enoch Edmiston (42), born August 23, 1982 in Jackson, TN, went home to be with the Lord on May 20, 2025 in Knoxville, TN after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was the beloved son of Paul and Kay Edmiston. From a young age, Enoch developed a love of aviation and military history and after graduating with honors from Hardin County High School in 2001, he chose to enter the Armed Forces. He graduated from the Air Force Academy and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force retiring in 2014 with the rank of captain. He spent time stationed at bases all over the world including Guam, United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and Germany. As the oldest of 7 children, Enoch was a natural leader and was always ready with battle plans from paintball to RISK. Despite receiving a devastating cancer diagnosis, Enoch continued to place his faith, hope, and future in Jesus Christ. Throughout his entire journey he showed remarkable strength, which will always be a testament to those around him of the Lord's grace and mercy. Enoch is survived by his wife Melissa and daughter Rowan, father and mother Paul and Kay, brother Ethan and his wife Katie and nieces Grace and Lily, brother Caleb and his wife Hope, brother Isaac and his wife Rachel and niece McKinley, brother Aaron, and sisters Acacia and Sarah. He also left behind beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. The memorial service to honor the life of Stephen Enoch Edmiston will be held on June 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be at the McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home in Maryville, TN on Wednesday June 4, 2025 from 5-7 pm. Although Enoch's physical presence may no longer be on this earth, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. Those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ are comforted in the knowledge they will be reunited with Enoch in heaven.
