It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Espino, who was called to be with our Lord on January 7, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on September 1, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, Stephen was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He was a blessing to his parents, Daniel and Velma Espino, and leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and cherished memories. Stephen was preceded in death by his father Daniel Espino in 2017.
Stephen's greatest passion in life was his family. He loved and lived for them, and they were his world. He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Espino; his sons, Jonathan, Jeremy, and Roman; and his daughter, Kavery Roshto. He is also survived by his only brother, Michael Espino (Diana), as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and many extended family members and friends. Stephen's infectious spirit, kindness, and sense of humor touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and he will be dearly missed by all.
A true Dallas Cowboys fan, Stephen's love for his team was well known to those around him. His passion for football was only surpassed by his unwavering devotion to his family. He was always ready to share a laugh, offer support, or spend time making lasting memories with those he loved.
Stephen's untimely passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. His warmth, generosity, and love for life will never be forgotten. While his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to live on in the memories of his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm, at Palm Heights Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, followed by the conclusion of services at the church.
May Stephen rest in eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in knowing that he will always be with them in spirit.
