Stephen George Fatula, 78, passed away on February 23, 2025. Born in Elizabeth, NJ Stephen lived a life full of love for his family and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, George and Agnes Fatula, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and resilience.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Stephen served as a medic, demonstrating a spirit of service that carried through his entire life. After his military service, he dedicated over 30 years as a crane operator at Exxon's Bayway refinery where he was known for his hard work and dedication.
Stephen had a deep love for aviation and never missed an opportunity to share his enthusiasm for all things flying. An avid golfer, Stephen could always be found on the golf course and cherished the camaraderie of the game. His favorite travel destination was St. Thomas, where he enjoyed the beauty of the island and the warmth of the sun, water, and its people.
He was a devoted father and grandfather and is survived by his daughter Robin and her husband Scott. Stephen took immense pride in his grandchildren Kyle and Allison, and loved cheering them on at their baseball and softball games. He is also survived by his sister Julie, and her husband, Jerome, along with their children Beth and Deb, and their families.
Stephen was a lifelong fan of the New York Mets and the New York Giants, and he enjoyed spending time with friends at the Players Pub, where he shared countless laughs and stories.
A celebration of Stephen's life will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 1:00pm at Vistoso Funeral Home. Friends and Family are invited to gather and honor his memory.
Stephen will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
