Stephen Fuller Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Loyless Funeral Home - Land O'Lakes on Dec. 8, 2025.
Stephen Leonard "Steve" Fuller, Jr., age 66, went home to be with the Lord after suffering heart complications resulting in cardiac arrest on November 29, 2025, in Hudson, Florida.
Born on October 14, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, Stephen lived a life marked by service, generosity, and unwavering faith. Upon graduation from Chamberlain High School (Class of 1977), he served his country in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1981 as a Petty Officer and Boiler Technician aboard the USS Trenton where he visited many ports such as Egypt, Germany, and Guantanamo Bay. After completing his time in the Navy, Stephen transitioned into a civilian career as a water and wastewater treatment operator-a role he held with diligence until his retirement in 2023.
Stephen's devotion to his family and friends and willingness to help others truly defined him. He was an accomplished "shade tree" mechanic and the most loyal of friends to many. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and especially hiking and throwing a ball with his "faithful steed" (dog), Hailey. If you knew Stephen, you knew that he had a passion for yard sales-always on the lookout for hidden treasures and good deals. A faithful prayer warrior, Stephen regularly lifted up friends and family in prayer and often expressed deep gratitude for the blessings he received throughout his life. These simple pleasures reflected the contentment he found in everyday moments.
By God's grace, Stephen was able to retire in late 2022. His retirement was truly the busiest season of his life, and he was happiest when called on to help with anything: renovating his son's first home, helping repair his dock, and cleaning up a friend's home after a hurricane. Stephen never met a stranger and was always ready to lend an ear or offer support to anyone in need-whether it was food, shelter, or simply a conversation. His compassion extended beyond words; he lived out his faith through action.
He is survived by his wife, LeAnne, and son Forrest, as well as his three sisters, Circe Perry, Tracy Guy, and Shanna Hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Leonard Fuller Sr. and Barbara Ruth Fuller. Although he will be deeply missed, we rejoice in the knowledge that we will see him again in Glory.
Stephen's legacy is one of kindness, humility, and steadfast faith. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of love and compassion. A Memorial Service will be held on December 13, 2025, at 02:00 PM at First Baptist Church Land O' Lakes, 5105 School Road, Land O'Lakes.
I'm Free
by Anne Lindgren Davison
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of day
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared,
a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things I too will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times, my loved one's touch
If my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart, rejoice with me,
God wanted me now,
He set me free.
