Stephen Grimsley Obituary
Stephen Mark Grimsley, age 65, passed from this life to his Eternal Home on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in Weatherford, TX. Stephen was born on November 6, 1956, in Muleshoe, TX to Thomas Mark Grimsley and Coriene (Wimberley) Grimsley. Stephen had recently relocated to Weatherford, TX to make it his home following his retirement from Tetra Pak Inc. in Denton, TX where he was employed as a quality control coordinator for approximately 31 years. He was a member of North Side Baptist Church of Weatherford and enjoyed gardening, antiques (especially clocks), woodworking, reading, and traveling.
Stephen is preceded in death by brother, Michael Robert "Mike" Grimsley, and nephew, Trey Oakley, grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. F.A. Grimsley and Mr. & Mrs. H.E. Wimberley.
Left to cherish Stephen's memory are his loving family: father and mother, Thomas Mark and Coriene Grimsley of Levelland, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Bradshaw (Wes) of Ropesville, TX; Susan De Loe (Dewey) of Kaufman, TX; Karen Hart (Dennis) of Wolfforth, TX; Patricia Oakley (Wyatt) of Stamford, TX; Jana Grimsley of Weatherford, TX; brother, Richard Grimsley of Kaufman, TX; sister-in-law, Joan Grimsley of Friona, TX; nieces and nephews: Ty Grimsley of Nazareth, TX; Kyle Grimsley of Friona, TX; Todd Bradshaw of Amarillo, TX; Kristen Bradshaw of Lubbock, TX; Carrie Holly of Wolfforth, TX; Devin Cummings of Fort Worth, TX; Stacy Oakley of New Braunfels, TX; Lyssa Oakley of Stamford, TX; Taylor Oakley of Brownwood, TX; 12 great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, TX 76086 with a funeral ceremony to follow at 1:00 p.m. A graveside service and interment will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery (3 miles west of Muleshoe on Highway 70/84) Muleshoe, TX 79347.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Stephen's memory to Gideons International.
