Stephen Hall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Green Country Funeral Home on Dec. 29, 2025.
Stephen Wayne Hall, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, returned home to the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at age 72, surrounded by his family. Stephen, the first child of Jim and Carolyn (Branch) Hall, was born on December 24, 1952 in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Terry Lynn Hall and James Herbert Hall; and sister, Mitzi Elise McKinnon.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Stephanie Dunn (Kenneth), Elizabeth Duncan (Brenton), Thomas Hall (Erin), Rebecca Phifer (fiancé Timothy Brault), Benjamin Hall (Racie), Melody Tyler, Lindsay Tidwell (Aaron), and Katie Cox (Andy); grandchildren, Alexis, Braylen, Bryce, Brevyn, Sutton, Fisher, Morgan, Mason, Willow, Finleigh, Archer, Tori, Kyla, Brandon, Jacob, Elijah, and Emory; and great-grandchildren, Adalynd, Killian, Sienna, Adrian, Harrison, and Jensen; sister, Tiffany Shaw (Caleb); sister-in-law Kim Tribble; brother-in-law Keith Tribble and many other extended family members.
Stephen traveled across the country with his family due to his parents' pipelining job, experiencing history firsthand. In high school, he participated in football, baseball, basketball, and chorus; at Oklahoma State University, Stephen studied Business, played football and was a member of the OSU Rifle Team.
He married Cathy (Tribble) Tyler in 2004, merging their families. They spent years traveling together for work and leisure before settling in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, in 2013. Stephen and Cathy shared a close and loving partnership for 21 years.
Stephen was known for his memorable hugs, always strong, comforting and welcoming: his unwavering passion for Jesus Christ, which shaped how he lived his life. He loved hunting and fishing and passed on his love of nature to others, creating lasting memories. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who treasured every moment spent with his family. Those who knew him remember his gentle strength, servant's heart, and legacy of faith, family, and love. He now rests peacefully in the Lord's embrace.
