Stephen Jentoft

Stephen Karl Jentoft was born May 14, 1947 in Red Oak, Iowa, where he graduated high school, went to a couple different colleges but ended up going to OBU where he graduated in 1970 with a bachelor's in physical education. He was drafted to armed forces where he lived in Germany for a year and a half, attended OU in 1973. He was full time National Guard in El Reno from 1984 – 1997 when he retired.
Stephen began teaching in 1976 through 2009, and retired from Northwest Classen High school. He was a beloved swim and fast pitch softball coach. The subjects he taught over the years were Russian, History, Economics, and Government. He was also chief lifeguard and manager at Will Rogers Swimming Pool. He loved teaching, coaching, playing sports, and playing any type of boardgame and cards with his children and family.
Stephen passed away April 4, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by
Myron Robert Jentoft, Merle Irene Freeman, Kana Rachelle Hutson, Micha David Lewis, David Kyle Hutson.
He is survived by his wife Connie Jentoft. Children David Kevin Hutson (children Dylan Hutson). Myron Kirk Jentoft (Spouse Donna Merwarth). Sonja Lynn Jentoft (Spouse Michael Justin Moreno, children Zeda Lee Jentoft, Gavin Zane Moreno, and Harper Cheyenne Moreno. Jens Karl Erik Jentoft (Spouse Amber Broe, children Matthew James Broe, Jace-Karl Andrew Jentoft, Connor Liam Jentoft, Elijah Charles-Lewis Jentoft, and Evelyn Dawn Jentoft). Jordan Meret Jentoft-Meek (Spouse Alexander James Meek, children Ezra-Leighton James Meek, and Ira Alexander Meek) Grandchildren Natalie Rachelle Goudeau (Spouse Brandon Goodlow, children Mark Goudeau, Isaiah Goudeau, Audreyanna Goudeau, Brandon Goodlow, and Breyshawn Goodlow). Amber Lea Shepard (Spouse Jeremy Wayne Shepard, children Jaydon Matthew Doucet, Brayson Lee Hodge, Ellie Kae Hodge, Silas Savoy Shepard) Matthew Rains. Brother Michael Jentoft (Spouse Peggy Jentoft children Mara Jentoft, and Nicole Jentoft). Sister Jacqueline Lewis (Children Andrew Tunney, and Julianna Tunney).
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Stephen Jentoft will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel burial will follow in the El Reno Cemetery. Come and go viewing will be held at Wilson Funeral Home on Monday, April 17 from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
