Stephen Michael MacBride
May 7, 1972 – November 25, 2024
Steve MacBride, 52, of South Fayette, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2024 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Born Stephen Michael MacBride on May 7, 1972, in Cranston, RI, he was known to family and friends as Steve.
Steve is survived by his loving wife and sons, Jennifer Roth MacBride, Sawyer, and Colton; parents Walt and Marie MacBride; in-laws Paul and Loretta Roth; sister Kim (Matt) Kuzawinski; and nieces and nephews, Madison (Brian) Reich, Mykaela, Kaden, and Mylah.
Steve graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1990 and graduated from Penn State, Behrend in 1994. Steve pursued his first career as a mortgage broker, when he met his wife Jen. After they married in St. Thomas, March 3, 2007, she encouraged him to pursue his passion and life-long dream of opening and running The Archer's Edge in Oakdale, PA.
All who had the pleasure of knowing Steve know that he loved and lived life to the fullest. This is a testament to both his upbringing, and how he and Jen raised their sons-with grace, generosity, and above all, love. Steve always went out of his way to help others and was constantly thinking about and caring for the needs of his family. He always made time to help the boys with their studies, encourage their creativity, and encouraged them to give and do their best in all they pursue.
Steve was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, but his pride could be felt by all as he cheered on his boys and their amateur travel ice hockey teams and school sports teams over the years.
Along with his passion for archery and bow hunting, Steve enjoyed traveling with his family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to make new memories. Steve will be fondly remembered for his affinity for fine bourbon, backyard barbeques, fireworks shows, and friendships. He was quick to build new and lasting friendships – the kind that made many feel like part of the family right from the start and those that bring people together.
Steve's final gift of generosity was displayed in his last moments on earth as he saved several lives and helped dozens more through organ and tissue donation.
Please join us in celebrating and honoring his life. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. and 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ Church, 44 Highland Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102. Everyone please meet at the church.
