Steve was born July 16, 1945 in Iowa City, IA. the son of Kenneth and Iona (Halsch) Mann. Steve graduated from Iowa City High in 1963. Steve was employed by the University of Iowa Hospital and Economy Advertising before moving to Columbia, Mo. in the early 80's. In Columbia, Steve farmed and worked for International Paper. Steve retired at Lake of the Ozarks and was president of Grandview Community for several years.
Steve never knew a stranger and enjoyed many hobbies including tractor rides, hunting pheasant in Iowa, jogging, jet ski-ing, pickleball and traveling. Steve was a Hawkeye forever at heart and loved the Chiefs too.
Steve is survived by one son Steve (Anne) Mann of Wellman. Three grandchildren, Tara (Levi) Tate Carrollton, MO., Seth and Drake Mann od Wellman, IA. Three great grandchildren Lorretta, Gillen and Hunlee Tate of Carrollton, MO. And one brother Bill Mann of Kansas City MO.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of Monarch Hospice of Kansas City, Mo 7451 Switzer Rd. STE 100, Shawnee Mission, KS 66203.
