Stephen Markin Obituary

Steve was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 21, 1951, to the late Harold and Beverly (Schroeder) Markin. Steve worked as a manager at Fifth Third Bank and later as a broker at Legence Bank and Heritage Federal Credit Union. Steve was a 1969 graduate of Mater Dei High School and later served on the Mater Dei Board of Trustees. Steve was a member of the Kiwanis Club and was a lifetime Westsider. Steve was a passionate IU, Notre Dame, and Colts fan. Steve will always be remembered for his witty one-liners.
Steve is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Humm and Michelle (Nathan) Courtney; special friend and companion, Darlene Sigler; and five grandchildren, Danielle Nelson, Reagan Lamble, Braedyn Humm, Garrett Humm, and Scarlett Courtney.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Doriene Markin in 2016.
There will be a time for friends and family to gather and celebrate Steve's life on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
