Stephen Heath "Heath" Mason

Stephen Heath Mason, 51, of Canton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on September 13, 2025.

Heath is preceded in death by his mother, Vicky Queen Mason; cousin Jason Herman; and grandparents Edd and Edith Queen and Cecil and Lucille Mason.

He is survived by his father, Steve Mason; siblings Reagan Mason (Mary) and Rhet Mason (Jennifer); nephews Keaten, Hampton, Ames, and Jake; and niece Ella. Heath was blessed with cousins who were more like siblings and an extensive support system of aunts and uncles.

Heath was a 1992 graduate of Pisgah High School. He discovered trucks, tractors, and heavy equipment as a boy and never lost his enthusiasm for them, turning his passions into a career of trucking, logging, operating heavy equipment, and farming. Those who knew and loved Heath knew he may never remember your birthday, but he could recall the make, model, and year of every piece of equipment you had ever owned.

Heath knew his time was short and requested his celebration of life be fireside, under the stars, sharing a meal with his family and close friends. He enjoyed this celebration in May in accordance with his wishes.
