Stephen "Steve" McDaniel, 75 of the Sandridge Community, husband of Mona McDaniel passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
Born on June 26, 1947 in Charleston, South Carolina he was a Son of the late Mydria and Bertha McDaniel and Jeanette Martin.
Steve graduated from high school and entered the Navy. He served during the Vietnam Era. Steve was the owner of McDaniel Trucking for many years. During this time he was named Small Business Man of the Year for South Carolina in 2003 and 2004. Steve was a lifetime member of the Vance Masonic Lodge, the Charleston Scottish Society, and Clan Donald. Steve was a member of Sandridge Baptist Church.
Stephen is survived by his wife; son, Stephen McDaniel; grandson, Corbin Walker Stringer; sister, June Hodder (Bill); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Stephane McDaniel and a sister, Janice Martin.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 11am at Sandridge First Baptist Church, 4677 State Road, Ridgeville.
