Stephen Davis Moore, age 71, of Tifton, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at his home with loved ones around.
A lifelong resident of Tifton- Stephen was born in Tifton on January 29, 1954 to the late Horace and Betty (Davis) Moore. He was a hard worker- who carried manufacturing, carpentry, and maintenance skills- spending 8 years working in maintenance at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Aside from work- He loved watching football- especially the LSU Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs. He would enjoy getting together with his childhood friends and playing poker from time to time. He could be found in his yard- as his yard was his pride and joy. He enjoyed the beach and playing in the ocean- creating many special memories with his family at Jacksonville Beach. He was an active member of New Life Presbyterian Church and loved his church family whole heartedly. More than anything- he enjoyed his family, who meant the world to him, his dog, and especially his grandchildren- who he loved deeply.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years- Teresa M. Moore, daughters- B.J Johnson and Lindsey (Jack) Baker, grandchildren- William (Amber) Monk, Jacob (Chelsea) Monk, Jacqueline (Amy) Hendrick, Alyson Johnson, Lacey Johnson, Ethan Baker, Logan Baker, Aaron Monk, Kaleigh Monk, and Sophie Monk, and sister- Martha (Johnny) Marchant, nieces and nephews- Brooke & Duran Deal, Justin & Dara Marchant, Austin & Jessie Marchant, as well as many great nieces and nephews, his precious great grandchildren, and his loyal, four legged companion and best friend- Saydee.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by a stepson- Derek Monk.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to be announced.
