Sylvia, also known as "July Moon", was born on July 5, 1947 to the late Roy and Marjorie (Haynie) Cape Sr. She lived in Cordele all her life and was proud to call it home, and was a graduate of Crisp County High School. She was a member of Penia Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly. She was a woman of great faith- always putting her trust in the Lord. She spent many years working as a registered nurse, and took great pride in taking care of her patients. In her free time, she loved to paint and craft, and had a true artistic gift.
Survivors include her daughter- Jenny Osteen Malone, grandsons- Noah Malone and Gunner Malone, siblings- Donald Haynie Cape and Marjorie Nell Rowe, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers- Harry Joseph Cape and Roy Thomas Cape Jr.
The family asks that donations be made to Penia Baptist Church in lieu of flowers (3738 Old Penia Rd, Cordele, GA 31015).
