David Allen Cape, age 74, of Purdy, Missouri, left this world to be at peace on July 2, 2025. Born September 16, 1950, in Sulpher Springs, Oklahoma to Homer Edgar Cape and Ruby Mae Nee Fires. When David was young his family settled in California, and he spent his childhood there.
In 1973, David bravely joined the U.S Marine Corp. While stationed in Japan, he served his country as a MP. After being discharged into civilian life, he started a career as security personnel and was able to provide security for many jobs. In 2000, he came to Missouri to settle into his new home.
He loved to play his guitar, go fishing, and having an animated conversation. David was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia.
Survived and mourned by his fiancé of 14 years, Cynthia Anderson of Purdy; two sons, Jeremy Cape of Cassville, Missouri and Joshua Cape of Sacramento, California; one sister; JoAnne Crabtree of Booneville, Arkansas and former wife Janice Wolfe of Yuba City, California. In addition, David is survived and greatly missed by his grandchildren Savannah, Jamison, Levi, Marshall, Zack, Kyrian, Rylie, Addie, Evan, and Saphyra.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Homer and Ruby, two brothers; Bill and Jerry and a sister, Evelyn.
You are greatly missed by all who knew you. Fly High and be at peace.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home and Crematory in Cassville, Missouri.
