Sandra "Sandy" Bowman Cape, of Sanford, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Wake Med – Cary Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born in Johnson City, TN on September 28, 1951 to the late Frank Richard Bowman and Thelma Bowman Harmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Danny Lee Cape; step-father Robert Harmon and fur-baby "Sunny".
Sandy graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Business Degree and worked as a Paralegal and Commercial Real Estate Agent. She also worked as an office assistant for her late husband's businesses. Sandy enjoyed cheering on her University of Tennessee football team and drinking her Mountain Dews.
She is survived by her son Matthew Cape (Wanda) of Nashville, NC; grandchildren Wyatt & Emmett Cape; brothers Rick Bowman (Lois) of Vero Beach, FL, and Larry Taylor (Michelle) of Johnson City, TN; special friends Johnny Miller, Teresa Tudor, Mike Rogers and many more including her fur-baby "Honey Bunny". She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 21, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the service.
