Stephen Parmentier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lyndahl Funeral Home on Feb. 20, 2026.
Stephen (Steve) Patrick Parmentier of Green Bay died February 18, 2026 at the age of 80. He was born February 8, 1946, in Green Bay to Alfred J. and Dorothy (Clark) Parmentier. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Steve began interning at Krider Pharmacy in 1966 and remained a pharmacist at Krider until the store closed in 2018. Many coworkers and customers remember Steve as a gentle and caring man who cared about their lives and families.

An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Steve felt great pride in serving the Packers organization through Krider Pharmacy. One of his favorite memories was posing with the Lombardi Trophy after the Packers' 2011 Superbowl win. His family, coincidentally, also loved to show off Steve holding the trophy.

Steve also had a deep love for classical music, Johann Sebastian Bach especially, and frequently attended performances at the Weidner Center. It became a Christmas tradition for him and one of his nephew's families to attend the Holiday Pops Concert each year at the Weidner, a tradition they will deeply cherish and miss.

Steve was a true gentleman. He was always well-dressed and soft spoken, which made his witty observations all the more funny. Hospitality was important to him. He always offered, "Would you like a beverage?" to visitors in his home. He also was known for indulging his sweet tooth and bringing cheesecake to any gathering he could.

Steve is survived by two nieces, Lynn (Grant Murphy) Parmentier, Hudson, OH, and Lisa Nelson, Bettendorf, IA; four nephews, Mark (Ann) Parmentier, Menasha, WI, Gregg Parmentier, St. Paul, MN, Jon (Christine) Parmentier, Austin, TX, Dan (Maria) Parmentier, Bettendorf, IA; several great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sister in law, Alfred J. "Ted" and Margaret (Hedstrom) Parmentier Jr.; brother Michael C. Parmentier Sr.; an infant brother, Patrick Parmentier; his parents; and his grandparents, Sebastian and Augustine (Charles) Parmentier, and Charles and Mabel (Green) Clark.

The family would like to thank Edenbrook Green Bay for their gentle care of Steve over his last days.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Lyndahl Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Fort Howard Cemetery at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:30 a.m.
