Stephen Mark Quarles was born on September 6, 1964 in Flint, Michigan to the union of Almarie and Greenfield Quarles. He departed this earthly life on Monday, July 3, 2023 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, Tennessee.
Stephen affectionately called “Mark” by family, was baptized at an early age. And he was currently attending The Church of the Messiah. He was educated in the public schools of Flint, Michigan, graduating from Northwestern High School. He also attended the University of Pittsburg in Kansas.
Stephen and Ronvalda “Ronda” Brown were married in 1997. The union produced two wonderful children: Alexandria in 1999 and Matthew in 2006.
Stephen was employed for a number of years with General Motors Saturn. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Greenfield Quarles, his son, Marcus Quarles, and his brother, Charles Shelby.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories children, Alexandria “Alex” Symone Quarles, Matthew Stephen Alexander Quarles; mother, Almarie Quarles; siblings, Jacqueline (L.C.) McCoy, Gregory (Sherley) Quarles, Gladys Quarles, Carolyn (Willie) Wyatt, Michael Quarles, Greenfield “Dirky” Quarles; nieces, Whitney, Trachael, Chanya (Aswan), Chantonya, Chantesa (Kenneth); nephews, Michael, Giovanni, Deandre, Will (Getta), Hubert, Jonathan, mother-in-law, Valarie Brown, a host of other family and friends.
