He was born March 19, 1960 in Belleville, the son of the late LaVerne and Florence (Baechle) Ritzheimer.
He is survived by two siblings: Clariece Ritzheimer of Belleville and Joseph (Nell) Ritzheimer of Hopkinsville, KY.
Steve was a well-known Harley Davidson motorcycle mechanic, working at East Side American Iron in Belleville.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 1201 Lebanon Ave. Belleville, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Shiloh.
