Stephen Russell Obituary
Born on April 7, 1954 to the late James William Russell and Ora Bess Hunter Russell, Burgess was a graduate of Hixson High School where he played basketball his high school years. He then attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville on a full basketball scholarship and graduated with a degree in Business.
Burgess loved sports and was an avid TN Vols fan. GO VOLS!
He loved spending time with his wife, Christy and their two dogs. When weather permitted you could find Burgess and Christy at a local golf course.
He was an active member at Christ United Methodist Church.
Burgess is survived by his wife of 15 years, Christy Russell; sister, Valeria Russell Vlcek; 2 daughters, Jamie Russell Massey and Brooke Shannon Russell; and grandson, Grady Massey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 10th at 3 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Hall officiating.
