Stephen Martin Senn, age 71, of Louisville, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.
He was born and raised in Louisville, KY, the oldest of seven children. Stephen was the proud owner of Kentucky Frame and Axle, a business that reflected his passion for craftsmanship. Known for his quiet and reserved demeanor, he led not with loud words, but with unwavering patience and a steady presence. His employees were more than staff-they were people he deeply cared about. He made it a point to invest in their lives, offering not just employment, but dignity, trust, and friendship. His quiet generosity and commitment to others left a lasting mark on many lives.
Stephen cherished time with his grandchildren and treasured vacations spent together with friends and family, especially at the lake house on Nolin Lake. He had a knack for cooking-constantly experimenting with recipes and improving them-turning every cookout into something memorable. He was a jokester at heart, always ready with a prank or a laugh, bringing fun and lightness wherever he went. His work ethic was matched only by his zest for life; he worked hard and played even harder. A fiercely independent and strong-willed man-often stubborn in the most endearing way earning him the nickname of Mule. Stephen was a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and never missed a chance to bring joy to those around him.
He will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: son, Eric Senn (Karen); daughter, Kelly Reinecke (Chris Price); grandchildren, Carmen and Ashley Senn and Luke, Georgia, and Lila Reinecke; siblings, Catherine Senn, Gerard A. Senn (Jane), Herman J. Senn III (Annette), Charles F. Senn, Marie Senn Tucker (Rusty), and Patricia Senn Hack (Denny); his beloved dog, Bogie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Herman J. Senn, Jr. and LaVerne Dougherty Senn.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from the Chapel of Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. The family will gather with friends for visitation on Friday from 3 PM until 8 PM.

Really sad to hear about the passing of a great friend and former coworker. We worked together for 5 years at KY Frame and Axle. With his sister Cathy we had some great times together and Cathy is the one that introduced me to my future wife and he got married the night before I did in 74.Sure going to miss not seeing you getting out of your truck at the "shop"as we called it back then. God bless your family as they go through this trying time. God speed and R.I.P. Old friend.
