Stephen Sharpe Obituary
Stephen J. Sharpe, 68, of Lapel, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at his home in Lapel following an extended illness. He was born on June 7, 1956, in Anderson, Indiana to James H. and Vada L. (Fitzwater) Sharpe. He was a 1975 graduate of Lapel High School.
He was an accomplished car salesman and received a national sales award from General Motors. He earned a trip to the Masters doing what he loved. He loved racing sprint cars and midgets.
Stephen is survived by two children, James "Jamey" Sharpe and Kyla Sharpe; six grandchildren, Sadie, Ariah, Boston, Delaney, Gentry and Hallie; one great-grandchild, Nova; three siblings, Ed Sharpe, Becky (husband, David) Woodward and Nancy Allen; lifelong companion, Becky Sharpe; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Sharpe; his parents; and a brother-in-law, Dean Allen.
Cremation will take place with a private family funeral service. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel at a later date.
