Stephen Lamar Spencer, Sr., 71, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023. He was born on August 12, 1951. He is the son of the late Grover Cleveland Spencer, Jr. and the late Opal Lucile Britt.
Mr. Spencer enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He loved to grill and cookout. Mr. Spencer was also a die-hard Georgia Tech fan.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Spencer is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Spencer.
He is survived by his sons, Justin Spencer and his wife, Jessica of Hiram, Georgia, Stephen Spencer, Jr. and his wife, Reaba of Douglasville, Georgia; sisters, Barbara Ann Hutchins of Las Vegas, Nevada, Janice Payne and her husband, Bill of Cartersville, Georgia; brothers, Ken Spencer and his wife, Chrystal of Kentucky, Bryan Spencer and his wife, Roxanne of Cumming, Georgia; grandchildren, Autumn, Austin, Nolyn, Talyn, Gavyn, Paityn; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 PM at Sweetwater Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia.
