Shelva "Shirley" Jean Boger Jackson, age 88 of Douglasville passed away on February 20, 2026. She was born November 4, 1937 to Gladys Craven and Alvin Eugene Boger in Atlanta, GA.
She was a member of Gateway Baptist Church.
She and Kenneth David Jackson met on October 4, 1963 and were married 50 days later on November 23, 1963.
During her working years she worked mostly dry cleaning establishments and restaurants. When she was unemployed in the late 1960's and 1970's, she took in ironing for several people.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Craven Boger and Alvin Eugene Boger; her son, Ronald Glenn Cox; her sister, Mary Donald; brother, Alvin Douglas Boger and three half siblings.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Kenneth David Jackson, daughters, Teresa Ann Wilson, and Michelle Renee Burt and son-in-law Scott Burt of Douglasville; and son, Donald Len Cox of Bremen; sister, Eunice Davis of Monroe, GA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jones Wynn Funeral Home, Douglasville Chapel, Douglasville, GA. Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
