Stephen Tuck Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph on Dec. 12, 2025.
Stephen L. Tuck, of Randolph, formerly of Everett, a cherished soul, passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 74, after a long illness. Born on October 23, 1951, in Everett, MA, he brought joy and laughter into the world. Stephen's life journey came to a peaceful end, surrounded by the love of his family.
A son of the late Lester L. and Marion L. (Flight) Tuck, Stephen was the embodiment of the values they instilled in him: love, and kindness. He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Cynthia (Gretchen) Tuck, and together they nurtured a family that became his pride and joy. Stephen was a loving father to Stephen "Spike" Tuck, Jr. and his wife Courtney Whitaker of Saugus, Brett Tuck and his wife Jolanta of Stoughton, and Christian Tuck and his wife Kayla of Canton. His role as a devoted brother was equally important, and he is lovingly remembered by his sisters Debbie Carlberg of Methuen, Dolly Buonopane of Methuen, and Rhonda Hitron of Salem, NH.
Known affectionately as "Pa" to his grandchildren, Stephen's legacy continues through Dominic, Sophia, Azalea, Thalia, Jaxson, Lily, Delaney, Savannah, James, and Blake. His playful spirit and gentle guidance will be missed by each of them. His extended family, including several nieces, nephews, and friends, also felt the warmth of his generous heart.
A proud graduate of Everett High School, Stephen furthered his education by earning an associate's degree from Wentworth University. His professional life was marked by dedication and service as the maintenance director of the Turner Free Library in Randolph, where he was well-respected and appreciated by colleagues and community members alike.
Stephen's interests and involvements were as varied as they were passionate. He proudly served as a Mason at the Mt. Vernon Galileau Lodge A.F. & A.M. Stephen's love for sports was evident in his commitment to coaching Randolph Little League Baseball and in his memories as a talented baseball and hockey player in his youth. His enthusiasm for water skiing and his unwavering support for all Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Bruins, were hallmarks of his competitive spirit.
Family and friends will fondly remember Stephen for his legendary cross-country road trips, his love for shrimp dinners with his family, and the precious time he spent with his grandchildren. His laughter filled every room, and his kindness touched every heart.
Stephen L. Tuck lived a life that exemplified what it means to be loving, kind, and funny. He was a shining example of a life well-lived, and his memory will continue to inspire those who knew him. As we bid farewell to Stephen, we celebrate a life that was truly a gift to us all. He will be profoundly missed, yet his legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Monday, December 15th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
