Stephen West Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Riverside Funeral Home - Albuquerque on Feb. 27, 2026.
Stephen Patrick West went to the lord February 12, 2026. He is survived by his wife Kerri, son Joey, Mother in Law Crystal Ferriegel, brother in laws William P. Ferriegel, and Robert Ferriegel, Aunt Vera Valdez, and cousin Ray Valadez, nephew Eric Dietz and his wife and family. He was proceeded in death by sister Elizabeth Dietz, father Paul Spencer, mother Josephine Spencer, Aunt Mary Jennings and cousin Ronald Jennings along with many aunts, and uncles.

Stephen wore many hats and fulfilled many roles. The most important of which was being a friend and a teacher. Even in his own human mistakes, trials, and challenges in his life he was caring with a heart that was bigger than he would ever agree to. He worked hard and loved harder.

Stephen enjoyed legos, riding bikes, motorcycles, marathons, horror movies, horror books, music, Star Wars, Sci Fi, Harry Potter, anything paranormal, and anything Stephen King. He would often question if Voldemort had a chance against Darth Vader.

Stephen was proud of his 26 years of service in the US Air Force. He often spoke well of the airmen he worked with. He was passionate about their lives and personal stories. He enjoyed working with his airmen and clipping their safety wire. He loved food and there wasn't much he didn't like or wouldn't eat. People and food he loved most when they came together as a family. Especially in the 150th as he saw them as family.

Stephen, Jr., Pop Pop, Uncle Bo, you are loved, you always have been and always will be. Your magnetic spirit and overwhelming joy will live long in our hearts. You have touched so many people with your love, wisdom, and sense of humor. We will always remember you.
