Stephen Francis Zink, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Orlando Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 26, 1953, at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC to Eugene and Jean (Hogarth) Zink. He was a 1972 graduate of Bishop Ireton High School. He served 20 years in the US Navy Reserves. He worked at Washington National Airport and Orlando International Airport for various companies, fulfilling his love with airplanes. Steve excelled at airplane model-making, having examples in the Smithsonian collection. He is predeceased by his parents Eugene Richard Zink and Jean Edna Zink. He is survived by his sisters Ellen McCarthy, Susan Robinson, Patty Liptak and Mary Black; his brothers Richard Zink and Thomas Zink. Family, friends, and others who knew Steve are invited to the funeral Mass located at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6200 S Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, Fl 32809 at 11:00 am on June 18, 2024. An Interment program will be held at Queen of Angels Cemetery, 1901 Queen of Angels Drive, Winter Park, Fl 32792 at 2:00 pm following the funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross (redcross.org) in honor of Steve's life long commitment of donating blood to the Red Cross.
