Sterling Larry Reed was entered into eternal rest on November 8, 2025 in Nashville, TN.
Larry, as he was known by those who loved him, was born on June 8th, 1951 to Sterling Authur Reed and Edna E. Meadows, who preceded him in death.
Larry lived a life defined by perseverance, loyalty, and an immense willingness to help others. He survived cancer and endured multiple major surgeries that affected his health, but he never let these challenges diminish his generous spirit. He was always there when you needed him, whether he was helping a neighbor haul items or faithfully driving his partner and children to their doctor’s appointments.
His loved ones will cherish the small, consistent acts of kindness he gave: bringing home a tin of holiday cookies every winter season without fail; quietly sitting outside in his shed with his late, beloved puppies, Scarlett and Jamie; and his weekly pilgrimage for a gravy and biscuit from Hardee’s.
Larry leaves behind his lifelong partner, Lawana Litchford; his devoted children, Melissa Yearwood, William "Bo" Reed (Kathy Reed), Bonnie Nelson, Sunday Capps, and Rebecca Finch. He was a loving grandfather to Shane Yearwood, Angela Peterson, Nevaeh Finch, and Leilani Finch, and a great-grandfather to Skylar Yearwood and Carson Yearwood. He is also survived by his sister Debbie Pedigo, as well as an array of nieces and nephews.
A life well-lived, filled with laughter and love.
In the famous, triumphant words of The Three Stooges, whom Larry often quoted: “Success!”
