Steven R. Adams, 58, of Sparland, died on December 15, 2021 in a car accident just north of Lacon. Born on December 4, 1963 in Peoria to the late Albert and Nellie (Daily) Adams, He was raised by Nellie and her 2nd husband Louie Holocker.
Everyone called him Steve-O, he was always there to greet you with a smile and to lend a helping hand in any type of project anyone had going on. Steve-O was an adrenaline junkie, whether it was hill climbing, horseback riding, or his fast bike or cars, he would still find time to joke around or have a good time with family and friends. He was a great mechanic, jack of all trades, and did many different jobs through his lifetime. He was a loving father and grandfather who left too soon.
Steve is survived by his sons Travis (Sarah) Staker of Yates City, Jason (Karly) Adams of Lacon; daughter Ashley (Ben) Stivers of Varna; sisters Charlotte (Glynn) Crew of Magnolia, Deborah Lee Clare of Sparland, Sandy Denton of Arkansas, Mary (Darryl) Clemson of Sparland, Vicky (Chad) Smith of Lacon; Brothers Albert (Cammy) Adams of Oklahoma, Ruben Holocker of Sparland, Jeffery (Angie) Holocker of Sparland, Louis "Buck" (Teryl) Holocker of Varna, grandchildren Ethan, Lucy, Jaylee, Ella, Emma, and Asa. He was also preceded in death by brother-in-law Larry Clare.
A celebration of life will be held for Steve-O at Zumies on the Water for 110 4th St., Lacon Illinois on Sunday, December 19 at 4 PM. Memorials can be left to the family and online condolences can be left at lenzmemorialhome.com. And we know Steve-O would say to all, "Thanks for Having Me!"
