Steve Anderson Obituary
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held on Saturday, August 24, at 2:00 PM, at Thomaston First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Barber officiating. Interment will follow the service at South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, on Saturday in the church fellowship hall.
Mr. Anderson was born March 23, 1937, in Thomaston, to the late David L. Anderson and the late Mary K. Spear. He was employed with Thomaston Mills Water Treatment Department for 37 years. Following retirement, he served as a bailiff for Upson County for over 22 years. He loved fishing and carpentry. Mr. Anderson was a member of Thomaston First Baptist Church.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Cathryn Wilson Anderson of Thomaston; his sons, Mike (Tanya) Anderson of Thomaston, Russell (Darlene) Anderson, Jr. of Jonesboro, and Todd (Jeff) Anderson of Decatur; and his granddaughter, Ashlynn Anderson.

Mr. Steve often visited the clinic I work in and he was absolutely my most adored patient. I always looked forward to seeing him walk in & talking with him. He was so pleasant and gentle with the warmest smile on his face. We became so familiar after a while that he started to feel like family! He will forever be my favorite patient and I already miss him dearly. My thoughts & prayers are with the family during this heartbreaking time.
