Steve Beck Obituary
Steve had a zest for life, an ever-present smile, and was deeply loved by all. Passionate and determined by nature, he accomplished whatever he set out to achieve. He began his professional career in the hospitality industry, living in several cities before meeting his wife, Renee, and settling down in Chicago. He held leadership positions in the Senior Living and Multi Family industry, where until his passing, Steve proudly served as the President and CEO of AHEPA Senior Living.
Steve adored his wife, cherished his children, and was a proud "Pops" to his four grandchildren. Steve loved to spend time with his family and friends. He embraced life's simple joys such as traveling, the ocean, sunsets, biking, and sports. Steve was an athlete who loved competing, coaching his children, and cheering on his favorite teams from Chicago and Seattle, especially the Seahawks. Steve brought enthusiasm and heart to every moment.
Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, Renee Caravette Beck; his three children Stephanie Chipp (Ryann), Danielle White (Bradley), and Parker Beck; and grandchildren Finley, Wilson, Peyton and Theodore. He is also survived by his sisters Leah Woodruff, Kathy Dye (Bill), sister-in-law Camille Beck, father-in-law Frank Caravette, brother-in-law Chris Caravette (Patrick) and brother-in-law Dario Caravette (Heidi), sister-in-law Nanette Caravette, sister-in-law Tina Caravette (Greg Buchholz). Steve was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews: Marika, Alex, Christina, Natalie, Rachael, Katerina, Joseph, Courtney, Mia, Ava, Abriella, Daria, and Luciana. Preceded in death by his parents Maria and Theodore Beck, mother-in-law Cherie Caravette, his brother John Beck, and brother-in-law Mike Woodruff.
A private visitation and mass will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. John of the Cross Church in Western Springs, IL. Steve will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

We already miss seeing and talking to Steve. His passing has left a huge emptiness. His sense of humor and commentary on our day to day lives we looked forward to. He always had a cute story after a weekend of seeing grandkids. Helping people get to know his leadership style was rewarding, he was old school, and his suggestions, weren't suggestions, they were life experience lessons he learned, so doing what he suggested was important and expected. His favorite day of the year were our chili cook offs, and his birthday cake celebrations! He even participated in our office olympics, he couldn't resist a good competition! His leadership was professional and above reproach. We are so thankful for the opportunity we had to be led by him!
