Steve Randall Boyd

STEVE RANDALL BOYD, 75, of the Leemaster section of Vansant, VA, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the Buchanan General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Ardue Guy and Melvina Jane Boyd. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a dedicated member of Coleman's Chapel. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a retired coal miner. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and most especially, spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Sisters: Ella Mae Boyd, Ann Lou Colley and Carlie Irene Clevinger; Brothers: Marshall Guy Boyd, Ferrell Franklin Boyd, James Howard Boyd, Charles Marion Boyd and Estel Perry Boyd.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Hattie Regina (Howard) Boyd of Vansant, VA; Son: Randall Keith Boyd (Pamela Mullins) of South Hill, VA; Daughters: Melissa Carol (Steven) Gonzalez of Collierville, TN, Christina Faye (Andrew) Green of Belcher, KY; Granddaughters: Haley (John) Lewis, Samantha Gonzalez, Ashley Gonzalez; Great-Granddaughter: Aurelia Lewis; Brothers: Dave Boyd, William Preston Boyd and Robert Boyd; Sister: Thelma Lester.
Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Coleman's Chapel Saturday from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for STEVE RANDALL BOYD will be conducted Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Coleman's Chapel with Darrell Thacker officiating with burial to follow in the Boyd Cemetery on Big Fox, Vansant, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
