Steven Arnold DeLaughter 64, of Carbon, Texas was taken from this earth and reunited with, his heavenly father on Friday October 27, 2023. Memorial services will be held at 2PM on November 4, 2023 at Lake Leon Baptist Church in Eastland, Texas with Brother Craig Rhoton officiating.
Steven was born June 15, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Julius DeLaughter and Joann Jeffries. Steven received his primary education at Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City. Later in life Steven met his wife Nancy Delaughter and they were married on May 26, 1989 in Wichita Falls, Tx. Steven was a hard worker his entire life and held a variety of positions. He spent his final 8 years at EBAA Iron in Eastland, TX working in maintenance a job he truly enjoyed. Steven enjoyed watching SCI-FI movies and the history channel. Steven loved watching football and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Steven enjoyed listening to rock music, love motorcycles and building with wood. Steven enjoyed going to breakfast with his wife on weekends and in the evenings you could often find him watching wheel of fortune with his wife Nancy. Stevens favorite quote was "seeing is believing" and he used it often.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents Julius DeLaughter and Joann Jeffries, brothers Paul and James DeLaughter, sister Paula DeLaughter, niece Talina Hernandez and nephew Steven Raulston.
Left to cherish is memories are: wife Nancy DeLaughter, son Andrew Joseph Steven DeLaughter, daughters; Kristin, Jessica Boston, Jennifer Vick and son in law Gregory, sister; Robin DeLaughter, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild, niece Julie Belt, nephew little Paul DeLaughter as well as many other nieces and nephews.
