Steve Haggard, age 67, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 4, 2024, at his home. Born Friday, January 4, 1957, in Danville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Donald Lee & Peggy Marlene Adington Haggard. His loving wife, whom he married Saturday, June 25, 1977, is Diane Dever Haggard of Waynesburg. Steve retired after 41 years of work from Norfolk Southern Railway and was a member of Grace Fellowship Church. Steve was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Steve was very mechanically inclined and very artistic.
In addition to his wife, Steve leaves behind one daughter, Stephanie Haggard of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandsons, Jayden Isaiah Taylor & Brayden Elijah Taylor of Lexington; three sisters, Pamela Jean Halcomb (Mike) of Brandenburg, Kentucky, Donna Lynn Spoonamore and Teresa June "Cricket" Carrier (Scott) of Stanford, Kentucky; and several extended family members and numerous hunting and fishing buddies who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by special in-laws, Russell Harmon & Freeda Mae Padgett Dever; and one brother-in-law, Sonny Spoonamore.
Honoring Steve's wishes, Cremation Rites have been carried out and no public services will be held.
