Steve Ray Harvey
Amesville - Steve Ray Harvey, 55, of Amesville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital in Athens.
Born July 1, 1969 in Naples, Florida, he was the son of Phillip and Joyce White Harvey. Steve enjoyed spending time with his families and tinkering with cars. His fall weekends were spent cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburg Steelers.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Brown Harvey; two stepchildren, Danny Gould and Manda Gould; four grandchildren, Shawn, Brandy, Ryan and Josh Gould; one great grandson, Hurley Gould; two brothers, Alan Harvey and Aaron Harvey; two sisters, Angela Harvey Kowalski and Rebeka Harvey Anderson; one brother-in-law, Greg Brown; nephews, Joe Harvey, Mark Kowalski, Zane Anderson; two nieces, Piper Kowalski and Annie (Annabella) Wright and his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Charlotte Harvey and Catherine Lange.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Barbara Weaks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at the Hughes Funeral Home in Athens from 2-4 and 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to contribute to the family for end-of-life expenses may do so electronically through our website via our Online Payment Center (https://www.ehwfh.com/resources/make-a-payment).
