Steve Ray Hollifield

Steve Ray Hollifield, age 64, of Altapass Highway in Spruce Pine, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville.
Born on February 12, 1961 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Ray and Reba Styles Hollifield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Hollifield.
Steve enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing pool and playing cards.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of twenty-four years; Tina Letterman Hollifield of the home, his daughter; Amy Stansberry and husband, Bradley of Spruce Pine, his son; Alex Hollifield of Spruce Pine, his grandchildren; Jayson, Austin, Owen and Aaliyah, his great granddaughter; Ivory, his sister; Debbie Riddle and husband, Gene and his aunt; Mary Carpenter.
Graveside services and interment will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 3:30 pm in the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Sparks officiating.
