Steve A. Kish, age 86, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community.

Born on August 19, 1938, Steve was the beloved son of the late Steve Kish and Emma Paul-Kish. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Karen A. (Wilcox) Kish.

He is survived by a brother, Paul Kish and two sisters, Barbara Ricks and Kathy Haag.

A proud Navy veteran, Steve honorably served his country from 1956 to 1959. Following his military service, he returned home to become a dedicated and active member of his community. He served multiple terms as Mayor of Stoneboro and was a proud member of the Lion’s Club for over 40 years, and gave generously of his time in support of Meals on Wheels and Helping Hands.

Steve was a successful businessman, owning and operating multiple automobile dealerships over the years. He was widely respected for his sharp business acumen, integrity, and generosity. His passion for classic automobiles was well known, as was his love for the game of golf.

Above all, Steve was a devoted family man. He is survived by his four children: Michel P. Kish (wife Tanya) of Virginia, Dan H. Kish (wife Cindie) of New York, Susan Kornhaus (husband Jerry) of Florida, and Steven C. Kish (Jill) of Meadville. He also leaves behind fourteen cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Steve will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a steadfast friend, a committed public servant, and a man who lived his life with purpose, humor, and heart.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Black Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc, 99 Franklin St, Stoneboro, PA, 16153. A private family service will be held.
