Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Rosalie (Thomas) McGlothlin; sister, Donna Tillman; and brother, George McGlothlin.
Survived by his sons, Steve (Kim) McGlothlin, Micheal (Terri) McGlothlin, Peter (Wendy) McGlothlin, and James (Tessa) McGlothlin; his grandchildren, Melinda (Jeff) Royer, Katrina McGlothlin, Logan McGlothlin, Lindsey (Kyle) Millington, Parker McGlothlin, Nicholas McGlothlin, Sydney McGlothlin, Kaylie McGlothlin, and Ryan McGlothlin; ten great grandsons; many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his special friend, Freda Hanf.
Steve was the owner of Pleasant Heating and Cooling. He was a member of Columbus/Grove City Elks Bpoe # 37, and a member of the Worthington Moose Lodge #1427.
Steve was so proud of his sons and his grandchildren; he loved them all so much! He loved his Cleveland Browns, although they never seemed to love him back. And Steve had a great love for the older country music. He tended to break out in song at any time, singing a tune by Hank Sr., Ernest Tubb, Gene Autry, Merle Haggard, or George Jones just to name a few. Steve was a great man with a big heart and a sweet nature and will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life has been planned by his family. Please join us Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at the Worthington Moose Lodge #1427, 1970 Schrock Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229 between 5pm and 8pm to share a drink and a memory with the family. There will be an official Elks Service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Steve's memory to one of the charities supported by either his Elks Lodge or his Moose Lodge.
