Obituary of Steve "Samir" Nichols
Steve "Samir" Nichols, age 58 years of Camden, passed away suddenly on February 24, 2025.
Steve was born in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Herbert Preston and Reice Mae Nichols. Beloved husband of Carmen Morales Nichols. Devoted father of Donnell Gideon and Samir Nichols and stepfather of Ashely Leary, Tiffany Leary and Tatiana Vasquez. Loving grandfather of Donnell, TJ, Jonah and Carlena. Dear brother of Jerry Nichols, Deborah Green, Gregory Nichols, Randy Butler and Reggie Butler and the late Michael Nichols, Herbert Nichols, and Gerald Butler. Also survived by the mother of his sons, Bianca Gideon as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Steve worked as a forklift driver at Lassonde Pappas in Bridgeton and prior to that was a van driver for Camden Center for Youth Development (CCYD) in Camden. He enjoyed playing cards, cooking and watching TV especially old movies. Steve also loved summer BBQ's and pool parties with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Visitation and Funeral on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 11:30AM-1PM at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home, 6600 N. Browning Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 1PM. Final disposition will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the family.
