Steve Orick, wonderful father, brother, uncle and friend peacefully passed away on December 28 2024 at Tidal Health with his girls by his side. Steve was born on May 7 1955 to Peggy and Roosevelt Orick in Detroit Michigan but lived in TN. He was raise in Baltimore city. He then joined the Navy in his later teens. He was an honorable man. He loved his country and was very patriotic.
Steve moved to West Virginia for a better life and loved the outdoors. He loved to kayak, hike, fish, sit on the beach, swim, camp and meeting new people. He loved visiting Ocean City and taking a swim in the ocean. He never met a stranger and talked to anyone he would run into. He was a die hard Ravens and Orioles fan. Loved basketball and loved to watch Yellowstone. You could always find him on his tablet playing solitaire. He enjoyed it very much.
Steve was one of the funniest people you would ever meet. He laughed all the time. Always had a smile on his face. No matter how hard his life was, he turned out to be one of the best people you'd ever meet. He loved being surrounded by his huge family that loved him so dearly. They have been his rock for most of his life.
He survived by His girls. Daughter Heather Riggin and husband Brandon. Daughter Megan Torre and husband Adam. Daughter Stephanie Bolden and husband Antonio. Cheryl Tracy and her husband Bill. His grand kids Logan, Joshua, Chris, Anthony and his precious grand daughter Madison. His sister Pat Wells and her husband Tom. His sister Teresa Fenters and her husband Scott. His brother Tommy. Nieces and nephews Tina, Liz, Rebecca, Molly, Paige, Tommy, Andrew, Allison, Katie, Blake, Zach, Hannah, Mason, and as he always said his favorite Amanda. He has a lot of great nieces and nephews. He had a lot of family all over and in TN. He loved his family very much.
Steve was preceded in death by his beloved mother Peggy. May they be together.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2-3:00 PM at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St. Hampstead, MD 21074. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM.
