Steve Rose

Charles Stevens "Steve" Rose,77, of the Pilot Community, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at Dunmore Senior Living of Zebulon.

He was Born on August 28, 1948, in Raleigh, North Carolina, the son to the late Alice Denton and Charles Rose, Jr.

Steve proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy, instilling in him a sense of duty and honor that he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he began a fulfilling career at Westinghouse, where he was a forklift driver and storeroom attendant.

Steve's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. Steve held a special bond with horses throughout his life, a passion that was well-known in the Pilot Community.

Mr. Rose is survived by his beloved wife, Diane Burchette Rose; son Andy Rose, and wife Jami, of Zebulon; special grandchildren, Samantha and Benjamin Rose, who were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is also survived by his brothers, Mark Rose and his wife Jean of Zebulon, and Barry Rose and his wife Missy of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at Pilot Baptist Church 8103 NC-39, Zebulon, NC 27597. Pastor Richard Price will officiate.

The Rose family will receive friends following the service in the Pilot Baptist Church Family Life Center.
