Steve Sarry

Steve Sarry, 67 of Macks Creek, MO, passed away peacefully at Lake Regional Hospital. He was born in Lakewood, California, a son of Jimmy Allen and Sandy (McCown) Phillips.
Steve grew up in San Diego, California where he earned his GED and began working in landscaping. As a talented arborist, he was recruited by Environmental Landscaping in San Diego where he very quickly moved through the ranks and was tasked with larger projects throughout southern California. He worked for Friers Village, a 440 unit condominium complex, as a facilities manager, which received many awards from various entities during his tenure. Many years later he relocated to the Macks Creek area where he continue to work in landscaping as a certified Arborist.
He will be remembered as an amazing artists, specializing in oil paints of landscapes, seascapes and other outdoor views. He loved to play music with his friends, as well as taking annual hiking trips to the mountains. He also had many special dogs over the years (Bear, Charlie, Buck and Cedrick). He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Steve is survived by his Mother Sandy of Lemon Grove, California, and his cousins Bruce and Mike Keepen; as well as his close friends Bill "Tractor" Trapp, Jeff White, Rob Mitchell, Daniel Burns, and many others. He was proceeded in death by his father Jimmy.
