Mr. Richard Steve Sullivan, 81, of Harrisburg, NC, went to be with The Lord on Thursday, August 28, 2025. Steve was born in Kannapolis, NC to the late Smeades and Pearl Sullivan and was one of six children. He worked in his parent's poultry processing plant for much of his childhood which instilled a lifelong work ethic in him. He enjoyed working and retired from Wilson Fence Company. Steve was a member of Gloryland Baptist Church in Charlotte. He treasured his church family. Steve enjoyed reading his Bible, going to church, fishing at the beach, watching cowboy movies, and bird watching. He loved his family very much. He walked in Christ and was an example of a humble and genuine man. Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Sullivan, and is in Heaven rejoicing with her now. He is survived by his children, Kenneth Hill (Lisa) of Oakboro, NC and Ashley Lawson (David) of Harrisburg, NC, grandchildren, Crystal Norwood (Matthew), Lauren Horton (Jacob), and five great-grandchildren that he was very proud of. He is also survived by his sister, Charlene Motley of Concord, NC. His family will miss him very much, but they know he is now in Heaven with His Savior. His Celebration of Life will be held at his graveside at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gloryland Baptist Church, 3001 Gloryland Ave, Charlotte, NC 28213. Online condolences may be made at https://www.jamesfuneralhomelkn.com.
