Steve Susong Chi

It is with great sadness that the family of Steve Susong Chi announces his passing. Steve died peacefully at his home on March 8, 2025. He was survived by his wife, Yong Ja; two daughters, Unhui and her husband Rob and Bunkye and her husband Keith; four grandchildren, Robbie and his wife Leena, Emma, Joseph and Joshua, and great grand-child, Uswa. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the church community.
Steve was born in Korea on September 2,1939. Steve met the love of his life, Yong Ja, and they married in 1967. The couple moved to the United States in 1974. Steve worked as an autobody repairman and was a business owner.
Steve enjoyed the outdoors and often took the family on fishing trips to the beach. Steve enjoyed photography and would take pictures to memorialize family and church events. Steve was a loving husband and father and devout member of St. Paul Chung Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held in his memory at St. Paul Chung Catholic Church in Fairfax, Virginia on March 13, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Catholic Charities USA.
