Steven Verneil Allen, age 65, passed away on November 1, 2025. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia with Rev. Farren Roper officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Verneil Allen.
Steven was born May 9, 1960, in Mount Vernon, Illinois. He attended Centralia and Campbell High Schools before going to Kennesaw State University where he obtained a bachelor's degree in data processing. While he was in school, he was part of the basketball team and ROTC program. He met his wife Katherine Marie Allen and was married on April 24, 1993. He worked as a Store Manager for Publix and enjoyed serving his community for 32 years. Throughout Steven's life he enjoyed golf, racing, football, Disney World and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by wife of 32 years: Katherine Marie (Barnes) Allen; son: James Verneil Allen, two sisters: Dana (Nick) Cowart, and Kim (Mark) Ronny; his mother: Alice Ruth Allen; several nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law: Dorothy Lucille Barnes.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
