Steven Alvarez Obituary

Steven was born April 28, 1957, in Long Island, New York, to Catherine Jean McCaw and Alvaro Salva Alvarez. Steven lived a rich and meaningful life. He was a loving husband, father, and dedicated member of his community. His unwavering commitment to family and his country shone brightly throughout his life.
Steven's four-year service in the U.S. Navy instilled in him a strong sense of duty and honor, values he carried with him throughout his career at Lineage Logistics in Edwardsville, where he dedicated 11 years of service. He was respected and admired by his colleagues for his hard work and dedication.
Beyond his professional life, Steven cherished time with his loved ones. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Amber Tavis-Alvarez; his children, Jessica, Nicholas, Isabella, and Summer Alvarez; his stepchildren, Jason and Justin Silva; and countless friends and family members.
To celebrate Steven's life and legacy, a Celebration of Life will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the Lake Perry picnic shelter. For directions and further information, please contact Amber Tavis-Alvarez or Mark Barry.
Steven's memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. May he rest in eternal peace.
