Steven Floyd Anderson

Mr. Steven Floyd Anderson of Perry has gone to his final resting place. He was 82 years old. He was born on November 23, 1939, in Larned, KS. He was the son of Otis Floyd Anderson and Emma Ruth Simpson Anderson. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army where he served two tours overseas. He later joined the U.S. Navy and again, served time overseas. He married the love of his life, Betty Neal Anderson at Miami, OK in November of 1976. He enjoyed reading his bible and loved the Lord. In his spare time, he cooked and enjoyed growing a garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Anderson, stepdaughter Laura Kirkland, son-in-law Silas Kirkland, and stepson Tom Brown.
He leaves, behind to mourn his loss, his grandson Eddie Chapman and his wife Jennifer of MS, grandson Wayne Chapman and his wife Janet of KS, granddaughter Pawnee Watson and her husband Jerry of Perry, grandson Joe Chapman and his wife Mindy of KS, granddaughter Lori Mundy and her husband Doug of MO, grandson Tom C. Brown of Brahman, grandson Brian Brown of Blackwell, 25 great grandchildren, 40 great-great grandchildren, daughter-in-law Debra Brown of KS, and "Bug" the shih tzu dog.
Mr. Anderson will be interred at the Veterans Cemetery in Winfield Kansas later this month. Donations in his name may be made to the Kansas Veterans Home at 1220 WW II Memorial Dr, Winfield, KS 67156
